Default Driver Memory Seat

Occasionally upon entering & starting the car the seat does not go to the pre-selected position. Dealer cannot find cause and says that I may have pressed something. I know I haven't and if I had what button is there that could cause this to happen?
Any insight would be welcome!
Thanks All

Did you "manually" adjust the seat out of it's memory position the previous time you drove your car? If you did, you may need to press the appropriate seat memory button to get the seat into the position you want. This "feature" isn't unique to the RX.

I believe seat position is remembered by key fobs. So if you have two key fobs for two drivers, you might see the "wrong" position.

Thanks for replying.

No I don't think I did, but also my RX is keyed to my FOB so that it recognizes which fob is opening the door and consequently which memory settings apply.

It works 95% of the time only occasionally it doesn't. Big mystery

My other FOB was in the house so it couldn't "read" it. It happens from time to time and we can't figure out why!

My key FOB works from anywhere inside my house.

I believe you have to lock the doors for the seat memory to work off the specific key fob. For example if my wife drives the RX and doesn't lock the door. When I get in with my key fob is doesn't go to my memory position.

That's right, but my doors are always locked and I drive 99.9% of the time.

You have to marry the FOB to the memory position before that will happen. Instructions in the manual.

As a test, try moving the seat backward a few inches before you exit and lock your RX. Then see if it recalls the memory position or if it instead recalls the last driver's position (i.e. with the seat positioned backward a few inches) the next time you get in your RX.

Also, per the owners manual:

"If a door other than the driver’s door is unlocked with the smart access system with
push-button start, the driving position cannot be recalled. In this case, press the driving
position button which has been set."

Thanks for the reply. I've tried all kinds of possibilities and so did the dealer, but there are no codes to refer to, we are flummoxed.

Let the dealer figure it out. My wife and I both drive each other cars often and that function works flawlessly in both.

OK, but did you try the two possibilities I gave you and review your owners manual on what can cause this feature to not work?
