I'm looking to smooth out the ride on my 2017 RX350. Already have new tires. any suggestions?

My 2017 RX350 was one of the smoothest and quietest cars I've ever had. How much tire pressure do you run?

New tires, softer aftermarket shocks/springs and raise the vehicle higher, resurface the rotors... Not sure what else you can do other than relocate from the tri-state area to somewhere with less pot holes?

Another thought.....what kind of new tires do you have? Are they by any chance "performance" tires, rather than the ones it came with?
BTW, I keep 34 lbs in mine. What's in yours?

Gonna need more info:

Did you purchase the RX used or new?
Is there a difference in the ride since purchased?
What tires did you have before, and what did you replace them with? (Include size)
How many miles on your RX?

I had a 2016 and now a 2020 RX. Both of them ride the same with Michelins. You may have something else going on.

I've test drove a 2018, 2019, and now own a 2021 RX350 with 20" wheels/tires. All, especially our 2021, ride exceptionally smooth and quite. Maybe I feel that way because of the stiff ride of my BMW 135i but I also have a 2010 Acura MDX which rides pretty nice but doesn't hold a candle to our RX. What do you use for comparison?

If you've got 20's on switching to 18's could provide a benefit to ride quality. Having less unsprung weight and more air volume to absorb impacts and vibration can have a large effect on driving characteristics.

May I suggest switching to a lexus ES Hybrid?

I have a 16 Rx F sport and a 20 ES 300h and both are ultra smooth. The ES is a lazy boy couch on wheels in comparison though.

I love the ride and smoothness on both. We have MB GLE and BMW X3 in the family and the RX F sport is the smoothest of all these SUVs.

I am really considering doing this. Our roads are really bad here, and the 20s are not cutting it. I have michelin primacy tour a/s on the 20s. And the jolting is annoying. Rest of the road is ok. Some cracks are noticeable. My only 3 options, switch to the premier ltx on the 20s, get 18s and put lattitudes or premiers on, or get rid of the car. Thoughts?

I'm assuming you have an RX350. What year? Not a Sport, is it? What tire pressure are you running?
I had a 2017 RX350 that rode beautifully. But it had 18s on it and ran 34lbs in them. You could try the 18s, or you might have a suspension issue.

2018 RX350L. Not a sport. 32lbs. Ive realized that it rides great once you get out of our little town. But here, it beats me up all day, and surrounding towns. What tires did you have on yours? I test drove some with 18s and it was a world of difference. I was amazed. Its hard to believe though that, that is the solution. So many people have the 20s and seems to be happy, or they just dont notice. Or they live in towns with decent roads. The worst for me is when there is a mount in the road. Like the power company dug up the road a tad, ran a line under the road, and buried it back. It isnt smooth at all and its like a hump that you run over. I do not think there is anything wrong with the suspension, I just really want it to be dialed in to where it floats over bumps. That is why i got it, if i wanted to feel the road, i would of gotten an Audi or BMW.

I had Michelins on my RX. Don't remember which Michelins though. With the condition of the roads in your area, I don't know what would help. 18s might be the easiest/cheapest way to go.

Hey, I'm in Raleigh, NC with a 2020 RX 350 non-F sport running 20's Michelins oem's and the only rough ride I have is where they're doing construction near Crabtree mall area.
Where are you located?

Asheville, NC. Really bad roads here. Totally annoying. Our 2008 Highlander does way better on the roads than a newer lexus, kinda sad.
