Not a big deal but would prefer to have my phone in the pocket vs the console.
I have heard very mixed reviews on the wireless adaptor. Some love it and have no problems, but I have read a ton of reviews where there is some latency, and/or disconnects.
I can see how the carlinkit would be nice if you have a phone that does wireless charging. Since I still need to plug in to charge I actually prefer what I’ve done over a carlinkit. And it was only $8.

what you did was awesome but you still have that one extra full usb port next to the one you connected to for this project to use for charging plus many others. .

I don’t spend a lot of time in our vehicles so wireless charging is a mute feature for me. Longest trip has only been four hours and the phone handles that easily wi5h out worrying about charging. $8 bucks is great but you don’t value your time! At this point in time my time is far more important to me than the cost. Although, I did get a great deal on ours during a woot off a few years ago. Mine are the model 2.0 Seems like the reviews have gotten far more worse with the newer models. The most important thing is you are happy and in the grand scheme that’s all that matters. Enjoy
