Default 2021 RX 350 - Steering issues

Greetings,

I just purchased a 2021 RX 350 in April. I love the car, but every once in a while driving, I get a slight steering shudder. It only lasts for a second..I also hear a slight noise, and then it disappears. Anyone experience this issue? Still trying to diagnosis before I take it to the dealer.

thanks
-D

Is it possible your lane departure alert is on? Your steering wheel will vibrate to alert you.

deparko...i too think that your lane departure alert function is on which vibrates or shudders the steering wheel when you cross over the lines on road. here are two youtube videos that explain the lane departure alert function...hope this info helps.

I will check that out (lane departure alert). I hope it's a stupid user error (me). My last car was a 2006 Subaru so it did not have any of this computer stuff..it has taken me a bit to get adjusted to all the feedback

The good thing is if you don't like it you can turn it off like I did.

I didn't like that feature on my Lexus GS. Does it beep on the RX also?

I had it on my 2016 and currently on the 2020 RX. Can't remember if it chimed or not thought it did.

It will beep or vibrate, you can change that. By default it's set to vibrate.

Well I'll be!!! I tested it and you all are right. RTFM, Big user error. It only happens when I get near the center lane. So it must be the lane departure alert...Well, I'm glad it was not a defect. Thanks everyone. I will continue to read the manual as I don't know half of the capabilities...thanks again
