Default 2016-2021 Lexus RX350 Rear Differential Fluid Replacement Instructions

Hi there, I am a Lexus Master Tech and I am working on a series of maintenance and repair videos that will cover the latest generation RX350.
Here is my video on how to replace the rear differential fluid.
Please hit me up with any ideas/suggestions on what other stuff you would like to see in the future in the video comments.
Thanks!

It would be great if you could demonstrate the drain of automatic transmission fluid through the transmission cooler hose, and refill, for RX models equipped with the tow prep package.

Thanks for posting....this is exactly what I was hoping for. For sure a subscriber!

I would love to see if the spark plug replacement on the model year 2020 and later is any easier than the earlier years. I know that it is supposed to be a pain to get to the rear 3 cylinders but someone posted recently that the newer years are not nearly as complex....I did not know anything was different.

Looking forward to your videos!

Hi Victor.
Can you also show us how to drain and refill the front transfer case?
Thank you for your great videos!
Thanks.

Viktor, thank you.

As others have said, in addition to the wonderful rear diff drain and fill:

-auto trans drain and fill

-transfer case drain and fill

-spark plugs (approaching 60k and must be done to maintain emissions warranty in the US)

-rear brake pads (interested in seeing if you have tips for dealing with the electric parking brake motor since there seem to be several different ways of doing that)

-coolant drain and fill (haven't looked into this yet, but interested if there are any vehicle specific bleeding procedures, hidden petcocks or such)

Thanks again.

Great video. I try to be a DIYer as much as possible but you really need a full auto lift to do this job. It didn't take me long to figure this out in the past.

You can do it with the RX on the ground. It's high enough to get under there and do it.

a good set of jack stands lets you do most any job for the home DYIer. Tools pay for themselves in no time.

Well said. If you have any interest in DIY maintenance, invest in a decent floor jack and quality jack stands.
If you have little or no experience in using these, get a friend who knows what he is doing to help.

I serivce all our cars and several friend's cars as well.
Safety FIRST!

Thanks, Viktor! I am awaiting the spark plug video - I didn't replace them at 60k, was planning for 120k but if it's easy, I may do it the next oil change.
