Does anyone know if there is a fix for the known bug in the 2020 Lexus Navigation screen? My dealership knows it is a problem and they say there is nothing they can do about it.
No matter how many times you set your Nav view, so you can see your radio, the Nav screen defaults back to full map view.
I don't NEED a full map when driving around in my hometown......very annoying.
If I had known about this bug, I would have stayed with my 2016.

I haven't noticed this behavior previously, and just tried it on my 2020 using these steps: Started the vehicle, put it in map + radio mode, turned on the radio and shut the vehicle off. I waited for it to fully die (headlights off), then started it again. The infotainment display was in map + radio mode, just as when I shut it off.
I would love for the map screen to NOT show exits on freeways/highways. 99% of my driving is in an area that I know where I am. It should be an option, not something forced on you. Lexus tech support says no option to turn exits off.

That's something you can adjust in settings, I've done it!

Yes, as @Cocal says, the freeway exit list can be disabled in settings. I don't recall if the 'your exit' detail can be disabled, or not.
Set it to Map and radio, then go for a drive, I find the map will suddenly revert to full mode when I take a freeway ramp, sometimes its just driving on a freeway for awhile.
I often have to get the radio bar back 3-4 times in one trip. No doubt someone is going to go "sailing into the trees" doing this and there will be a major lawsuit, maybe then Lexus will fix this known bug.
My Lexus dealership knows about this problem, I never had this issue with my 2016 RX350
Its the same with me. I have it set to map/radio/climate control and it will change to just map after driving a while or when you turn off and back on.
I checked the "defaults to full map" issue today while I was out shopping. I had the full map showing and added the music to the right of the map. I shopped at a few stores and every time I started the 2020 RX450h the screen showed both the map and the music playing. I seem to remember changing a setting when I first purchased the RX so it does not default to the full map. Check your owners manual. I think you need to look for "Auto Change to Screen".
2016 RX 350 Suddenly Experience This Problem as of 12/24/23

I have a 2016 RX 350 and have not had this problem since I purchased it in May 2017. Suddenly on 12/24/23 this exact issue popped up out of nowhere and it is very frustrating.
There is a place in the menus that force the screen to a default. You can adjust the system so that it stays on your preferred screen. I wonder if that is what is happening here? I tried to find this option in a search and found this reference, but it is for the smaller 8" screen - but it demonstrates the idea: (PDF file for 2020 RX 350 here) This is speculation on my part of course, but my screen stays on the dual display - Unless I have been on an Interstate and then I have to switch it back to the dual display as it flips to exit information automatically on interstates. I am not aware of any way to avoid that. My ES does the same thing.
