I am starting the research on replacing my 2006 Acura MDX with a 2016+ RX. I have came across a RX at Carmax that had a beautiful Bamboo interior and steering wheel. I cannot seem to fine a specific trim or package that has the bamboo. It is mentioned in the brochures for the car with walnut or bamboo. Does anyone have any suggestions on a package to look for, or it is just a random add on when you buy new?

Hard to nail down for each year but I would recommend going to the Lexus site and building a vehicle to see what comes with each package. Obviously this will be for the 2020 model but it will give you an idea of what might be packaged with what. Bamboo is currently available as an option with the Premium package but I think that you can arrive with bamboo a couple of different ways. Like all companies you often end up getting options you really don't want/need when you pick up an option that you do want. I have walnut trim with black interior and I love the look.

I would also look at specific years and how other options change....things like CarPlay, new transmission, etc from year to year.

I recently came to Lexus after driving only Acuras since 1988. Happy with the change since Acura has really been struggling to find their way the last few years.
