Considering CPO 2016 RX
Considering a 2016 CPO with Navigation package that has 25K miles on it. Dealer is quoting me $34,900... Is this a good deal? I know the 2016's had some issues but we have driven the vehicle a few times and I don't hear the droning noise or notice any transmission problems. Thoughts?
I know this thread is about the 2020 prices but I'm assuming many of you are previous owners of an RX so looking for some advice. I'm considering a 2016 CPO, navigation package, with 25K miles on it. Any advice on pricing or reasons to avoid the car would be very helpful!
is the RX an AWD? do you have a link to the car?
I've looked for a long time and finally purchased at the end of December.
From my assumption of the vechicle since it has Nav., I would ask for 33.5k and call it a deal.

That exterior and interior color is pretty nice, my preference. I ended up with my third choice, noble brown interior.
Last year, I was in talks with Michael from Sewell and he was able to offer me the following deal on a 2016 RX450h F-sport at 38k miles:
The car was is listed 40,998 and he said he might be able to do 38,500.
I was trying to get an offer done over email before I drove 4 hrs to Dallas to buy.
Not sure if that helps you but good luck, and that's a beautiful car!
If you aren't in a hurry, there will always be more RXs available and prices will always go down.

The Lexus owners site shows all the maintenance was done right on schedule being the 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 and 25,000 miles. There was nothing showing out of the ordinary meaning previous owner stating any problems. Did state at 25,000 miles the car while in Tampa was wet sanded.

Some dealers will negotiate CPO prices others will not. If there's a shortage, the law of supply and demand is against you, so be ready to look elsewhere if you don't like the price. Generally, a CPO will be priced about $1800-2500 more than a comparable non-CPO.
IMO, CPO is a waste of money on anything none German. You are roughly paying a $4,000 dollar premium over a none CPO. Lexus is known for its reliability and rarely need expensive repairs. To each their own - If peace of mind is what you are looking for, then go for it. My only advice is that you drive the car and make sure it's solid and does not have issues associated with TSB issued for the 16 MY - AC gurgling, squeak from rear trailing arms, trans programming, and exhaust drone.

My goal is to find a good high mileage used 2016 AWD. As long as maintenance and no accidents, these cars should last. Prices should be falling due to leases coming up, and the rest of the turmoil in the world.
Observation: Sites like cargurus prices generally do not include all the fees that used car lots charge. These fees (doc fees, title fees, etc) can range from $700-$1500 or more, so beware. I usually get zero response when I ask for the out the door price.
Question: Is it reasonable to assume I can get a good used 16 AWD RX350 with high milage for less than $24k?
Thanks in advance.

Mike,
I purchased a 2017 CPO RX with 5k miles on it. The RX also came to ATL via a FLA auction. A lot was made of the Carfax being clean. I purchased the RX. About 3 months later I checked Carfax again, there was damage showing, not an accident but damage. No details of how large or small. It was posted after the sell/purchase of the car. I contacted the dealership and they rechecked the car. Their inspection indicated some minor paint work on the passenger side front fender.
the RX has been great. It has 27k miles on it now. I still have the issue at resell that the generic damage will show on Carfax. Since I have had no issues I plan to keep the RX for several years so it will matter less when I go to sell/trade. I will probably trade it t the Lexus dealership I purchased it from so I will certainly remind them of the late reported damage at that time.
just a word of caution related to Carfax and CPO Lexus.
