I leased my first Lexus ES 350 from Lexus of Northboro. It was a miserable experience matched and even worse when I bought my 2010 ES 350 from Herb Chambers. That was so awful that I started having my service done in Watertown. They are/ were fantastic !!! Since then I've purchased a 2013 and 2017 ES 350 and leased my 2019 RX350.

Amanda Carr is the Service Manager. She is just the very best that you could image. You can tell her that I recommended her and I'm confident that you'll experience service superior to any you've had anywhere before.

Can u tell us if the new pump is replaced from the interior, or is the tank removed from the bottom of the car?

My 2018 RX450 fuel pump went out last Friday with only 17K miles. Its still at the dealer awaiting parts. However, RX450s are not part of recall. Maybe they should be?

I was called by Newport Lexus, Newport Beach, CA, and they can now perform the fuel pump recall on my 2019 RX350L. I asked about the procedure and time involved, and they said that the fuel tank would be removed; takes half day.

The fuel pump is replaced from the interior. The left rear seat is removed from the vehicle and carpet is peeled back allowing access to the panel for the fuel pump. So far I've done 3 today and got it down to about 40 minutes. Just keep in mind that there are over 100,000+ RX's alone plus regular maintenance visits and loaner vehicles for us to do.

Thanks for the information on replacing the pump......sounds like much less of a big deal thanI originally thought since you’ve confirmed the smaller left rear seat comes out....

Lexus was giving a free fill up on vehicles that came in for the Air Bag recall(s). I got two tanks of gas on my SC430. I was wondering if they were doing the same with this Fuel Pump recall. Any one knows or had the recall completed please let us know.

Lexus just ordered my parts for the fuel pump recall. 3-5 days for parts to come in. Was told to have less than 1/3 tank of gas when I bring it in. They will fill it up when the fix is done.

Al right! A free tank of gas, a loaner and breakfast. Makes the recall easier to take. Thanks for the update.
