This makes sense. I'm just worried about the bench, carpet and door cards being in pristine condition. I keep my SUV's in very excellent condition. Plus any dents, scratches in the hands of the Lexus dealer for 3 days!

Just read that the 2020 RX was just added to the list for the recall. Can not confirm on the Lexus or NHTSA sites but reported in mainstream news (so it must be true . Mine was a 01/2020 build.

Brutal... was hoping we'd be safe with the 2020s... I bought mine in July.

I do not see the RX450h, I assume they use a different fuel pump. As of today Lexus Drivers shows no recalls on my 2020 RX450h.

Those of you in Canada can enter you VIN into this page and see if any recalls have been issued. Nothing on my 2020 RX so far...

Lexus Canada is usually a few weeks to a few months behind on recall notices for whatever reason (assuming the recall also applies to Canadian vehicles, which was the case with the earlier fuel pump recall) - I remember the inoperative door handle recall came out in late June for the U.S., but I didn't get the notice until late August.

Just got my SUV back last night after 4 days! The only 2.5 complaints I have is:

1) The recall took 4 days.
2) Interior was not kept clean.....shavings, smudges, grease marks, carpet dirty, trunk had one small plastic part which i dont know where it came from, very small nick at the back of the front seat newspaper holder?
3) Scratches on the front hood ( tiny) and side panels near the head lights ( I believe it was not their before I handed the dealer my detailer SUV)

I spent nearly 40 mins re-detailing the interior of my SUV.

I gave the dealer 3 out of 5 stars

Is this a typical experience for a Lexus dealer? Other than the 4 day thing, the interior not being clean and scratches to the exterior are unnacceptable in my view...

Sorry to hear that your service/recall experience was not what one would expect from Lexus; hopefully you can restore the car to its previous condition. I’m very particular with my cars, and this is exactly why I will wait until the car begins to exhibit drivability issues before taking it to the stealership...always makes me nervous when the car disappears into a service bay. Hope the actual repair was performed to Lexus standards. Cheers.

Instead of spending the time re-detailing it, I would have returned asap to the dealer and invited the service manager out for a tour.

I agree, typical job takes a half a day but my dealership took 4 days due to the back seat bench not being secured due to a faulty bolt.

I am not that kind of person who would go back to the dealership to ***** and moan. After 40 mins, car is back to almost new.

Famous saying "It's only a car" (wifey)

thanks xxx35oL and ravenuer.

Got a recall on the 2020 RX 350. Can someone with the repairs completed comment on how long it took, if loaner is available, did they mess up the interior?

Very important -- run your gas tank down to only a couple of gallons. You have a 19.2 gal. tank, and mine shows empty and turns on the light when there's still 4+ gallons in it. So don't take it in until the fuel light is on. That makes the job way easier, and reduces the chance of spilled fuel in the interior. It takes them 2 or 3 hours to do the replacement and test everything that needs tested. They are supposed to refill your gas tank (I got about 3/4 tank).

Mine is late 2017 model...checked drivers.lexus.com and is effected. Is it better to turn it in now or wait a couple of months?
