Inspect around battery box/under hood for evidence of mice or rat droppings; critters may have chewed into a wiring harness. Also, double check the voltage on replacement battery ;wouldn’t be the first time a “new” battery is low or dead. Good luck.
2017 Model, 2 years old, seems strange for the battery to die that quick. Something else is going on. Head scratcher. But yeah if some creature got to your wires, that’s a possibility. Is your garage sealed?

Not a surprise!
On today's vehicles there is a low & continuous draw to operate all the electronic gadgets and if one doesn't use that car for 2 months there are only 2 solutions:
1) Disconnect the battery or
2) Hook it up to a charger
If one doesn't do either the result will be a dead battery. Once this happens the vehicle must be "resuscitated" but it depends on vehicle/make, did you call the dealer?
I agree, 1-2 months is too long to let a modern car sit. I'm a snow bird and I leave my RAV4 in the garage for the winter. I use a battery maintainer on it (not a battery charger). I use various anti-mice things in the garage and when I return in the spring, I disconnect everything, get in and it starts like the day I left it.

When you state it "seems dead" did the dash lights come back on after replacing the battery? If so, might you be encountering the following: RX350 Won't Start-Brake Pedal Hard
