Default error in electronic control of engine.

Bought an RX 2days a go an RX 19 with 9,000 miles on it. dealer is 300 miles away. Service tech said it was most likely carbernation mixture and would not hut to drive it.
Please any ideas? :A malfunction in the electronic control of the engine, throttle, or auto transmission has been detected. Please contact your Lexus dealer.
In A Mind Thanks

Michael

This is a case where you have to live with the consequences of your decisions. You no doubt got a good deal on your car with a good warranty, except that you have to drive 300x2=600 miles to use the warranty. As mikemu says, closer Lexus dealer? I'm not sure if a Toyota dealer would honor your warranty, but wouldn't hurt to ask.

Is it there every time you start the car? If not, just keep an eye on it and schedule a visit when you can.

Enroll your vehicle at the Lexus Drivers website (an official Lexus website). After enrollment, and the input of your vehicle, go to the Vehicle Health Report section and allow your vehicle to transmit data (you have to authorize this to occur as it does not happen automatically). Once in the system you can review the current status of your vehicle. Should there be any issues the report will exhibit a brief explanation of what needs attention. You will also receive an email of with a subject line like the following when something is wrong: Your Lexus Enform Vehicle Health Report for 2019 RX (attention required).

So I have a 2017 gs350 fsport and when this popped up for me a couple of days ago, I went to autozone and got them to hook up the OBD-2 thing to my car and pull the codes. They were for "emission evaporation...." which basically just turned out to be that my gas cap wasn't properly tightened. I must've filled up and not spun the cap all way back on. I tightened the cap, cleared the codes, restarted the car, and they never come back on. Hope that helps.
