2020 rx 350: Can’t get the apps to show up via bluetooth. Apple carplay off, Bluetooth connects, when I press APPS on MENU, Just get ‘version i fo’ under infotainment. How do you get the apps on the iphone to show up?

 

only app I got show up was waze but useless very slow, rather stick with carplay waze.

 

Yes they nerfed the app suite for the GEN 11 system (2020 RX, etc) The only apps available now are lexus+Alexa, the info app, WiFi sign up, and Waze on iOS. Carplay/Android Auto does everything else better usually.

 

I just bought a new 2020 RX350 and the dealer had me download the Lexus app for my Iphone (IOS) and the Lexus Enform App Suite 2.0. The app store shows 3 screen shots of what the app is supposed to look like but it does not look like that. Applications like Yelp apps are supposed to be there. I then logged into the Lexus web site https://lexus2.custhelp.com/app/answ...1709,1336,1620 and it shows the apps that are supposed to be there under Enform 2.0 but none of them are there. I called them and they don't have an answer. Can anyone tell me if I even need this app? Will I be able to start my car remotely using the Keyfob without this app? I have the other app (Lexus) that tells me where my car is and lets me start my car from the app. Any help would be appreciated.

 

You need "Lexus" app from appstore for remote engine start up and lock/unlock door not enform app suite. You can also use keyfob press 3 times at third time just hold it. Lexus delivery department should inform this when pick up the car.

 

Thanks for the response. I just deleted the app and tried to start my car with the keyfob. It started but when I went to open the car door the car shuts off. Is that the way it is supposed to work?

I just purchased an RC 350 appently with the generation 11 navigation and I have the same issue with enform 2.0. Are you saying those apps were discontinued? No more apps in there? What do you mean by nerfed?

Yes, that's normal.

For Gen 11 you do not get Yelp and the other apps that used to be there. It's still the same app. What you see is based on which car it's paired to. You will only see those extra apps on the older Gen systems. Because you can accomplish those same things thru Carplay and Android Auto.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I assumed it would be available like it was in MY GS. It's not in the brochure or on the website anymore so makes since. The only inconvenience with android auto is that it has to be plugged in. It works better than the enform apps ever did so it's worth the tradeoff. Thanks again.

 

I spoke with the dealer yesterday and they had apps on their phone (Enform2.0) and when they re-downloaded the app from the Itunes store they now have no apps either. (They were running an older version of the app) They were surprised. When you go to the Apps menu in the car there are no apps showing.

 

I bought a 2017 CPO RX last week. Can someone tell me for a CPO how long is Enform available for free? What is the monthly subscription fee? Is it worth to subscribe to it?
I would appreciate your answers.

 

You need to subscribe if you want remote start. Thats the only thing I use.
