Someone tried to break into cars in my parking lot last night. The thief tried unsuccessfully to break into my car, thanks to the laminated driver window. Still cost me $800 to replace at a lexus dealer 😞


The cars next to me is not so lucky

 

I think that lexus windows are double laminated and the windshield triple laminated. That's why they are more expensive (at least one of the reasons)

 

The same thing happened to me. I went through Safelite to have mine replaced, costing me $440 after deductible and difference for OEM glass.
I believe they tried to use a spring-loaded center punch to attempt to break the glass.
