I am awaiting the deal for a 2017 white/red Sport 450H to finalize. 17K miles, Should be done in a week or so.
I was playing around on photoshop as I always do to when I get a new car to envision the mods I may to do to the car.
This is what I came up with...
22" 3 piece Brixton wheels, gloss black spoke with white lip. Offset to bring wheel face out to equal fender. RS-R lowering springs. Window tint. Custom graphics and black gloss roof wrap.
This wont appeal to most but for those who do like to make their car unique, what are your opinions? What have you done in terms of mods?
I still technically don't own one and never claimed I did. I joined back in 2016 to inquire about ownership and ask owners questions. The pic is a photoshop rendering.
Would you care to know what I have currently in my driveway? (None are Lexus by the way).
Should this trade go through, I can assure you the 450 will be the tamest car I'll own.
At the very least I'm a car guy that may contribute in some way even if the chips fall where I never end up a Lexus owner. It's not a thing for me to chat it up with Lexus owners to pass the time which is probably why I never contributed in here until now. This is a car I have been strongly considering from the time they dropped. And at the time of launch, I was granted an overnight test drive and really loved the car and would have pulled the trigger had the dealership been able to find an F 450 white/red. A nationwide search found none available. FF two years later, A dealership in AZ I have a relationship with happened to have the very truck I was after. We're trying to put a deal together.
There you have it. Full disclosure. Are we good now?

I replied to skygc, who was welcoming you to the forum, that you joined in 2016. That's all.

Ahhh. I was going to delete my mistaken response but - nah. It's such a classic.
I sound like the guy who gets pulled over by the cop and says "I only had a few beers" when I was only being warned that my blinker was on. Hilarious. When I was a kid, I was the the one who told my mom "The babysitter will be lying to her later", don't believe a word she has to say!
My defensiveness comes from my recent participation in the Jaguar F-Type forum where many thought that I never owned my car because someone spotted a inadvertent photoshopped item in one of my pics that I forgot to admit to. It turned into a entire thread.
Let that be a lesson for me moving forward!
Sorry to snap. I got a great laugh when I read your explanation. Thanks for that.
I'd leave the red doors out, the rest is good though.
Yea, I tried the look both ways. What I liked about the red was that it changes the body contour lines in that it reduces the body line bloat and makes the truck look far sportier and less like a soccer mom SUV in terms of shape. Certainly the color panel could easily be black but a splash of red to match the calipers and interior scheme didn't bother me. Here are two varitions for you to ponder.

The black is better - red just a little too Asian Boy Racer (no offence to our Asian friends)
And the following one with red logo, mirrors.....not my taste at all. We don't want to lower the Lexus premium character too much.
Just to chime in I personally like the red also, looks awesome, though I'd skip the lowering springs, SUV's best aspect is utility, don't take that away!
I too am new to the RX section of this forum at least. Previously had a GX and still do have a IS350C also. My new baby is a 2016 RX Hybrid, and my first mod is going to be adding autopilot thanks to Openpilot...

Not familiar (Openpilot)...Will investigate.
by the way the lowering spring lower the truck 1.8". Doesnt change a thing to anyone that doesn't go off roading.
