Need help with iPod classic setup

Default Need help with iPod classic setup

Hello i am new at this forum and need help with my new rx350l I connect my iPod classic on the aux and on the console screen I got no control beside listen the musics. Is there anyway I can enable and control on the console instead of keep taking out my iPod classic to change the music please help.

connect it with usb. it will also allow voice search
thats how i have my 160 gig classic

What kind of usb ? That what I current use with 3.5 jack but only heard music but I can’t get control on the monitor. Thank you so much for sharing and advice

Consider getting the 0.5 meter ("14) Apple USB - Lightning cord. The 3.5 mm Aux cord just
transfers signal as you described. The USB cord will keep the iPod charged, allow steering
wheel controls to work, display Song/Artist/Track info on screen and play high band width music!
While I keep ours in the bottom of the center console, your RX has the nice flip top wrist rest and
a cable cut that our ESh doesn't have.

Correction, the iPod Classic has the 30 pin connector, same advice but just use the standard
white Apple cord you use for charging to connect to the USB jack in the console.

Thank you so much you guys are awesome. It work now. Yes that why I don’t want to waste that compartment on the arm rest .

i put mine in the little arm rest compartment, it was either that, a pack of gum, umm not sure what else fits there. lol
glad you got it working, yes the 30 pin usb. wheel controls, voice control, say "play artist XXX" or song XXX .

Good idea, It still have a space on top with an iPod classic in there. So I’ll add a couple back up gum in there as well. 😉
