If the map data is finalized in the fall, then why does my version say June of 2017?

It is the date that the data was compiled. NOT the release date.

They have to validate the data before releasing, hence the delay.

It is like that in computer software in general.

Dealer only. And call them for the price.

Would be curious if someone with a 2018 could look at their map data version?

I know you're concerned about the data and how old it is - the lead time for GPS mapping data is huge, if the mapping company collects the data today it may not appear in a NEW vehicle for two years. The lead time for updates would not be as long, I can't give you a definite timeline but it would be at least one year, maybe 18 months. They are trying to improve it, there was talk of TWO DAYS for updates but they have stepped back from that realizing it's just not possible at this stage.

1 Select the box with menu dots/lines on the map screen.
2 Select “Map Data”.
3 Check that the map data screen is displayed.

Sorry I have not remembered when in the car. Mine is an '18 350, Dec build.

I checked the map version on my 2018 RX 450h that I got back in March and it’s 21-37-18 {2017-06-2}. So, it appears to be slightly newer than yours.
