Question How to remove Bodyside Moldings

Hi everyone. I didn't have time to do it myself so 6 months ago I had my Lexus Dealer install the factory bodyside moldings.

I now want to take them off. Challenges? just double sided tape? What is the easiest way to do it without damaging my paint?

Thanks for your help!

Wondering why you're taking them off? Any cons you've noticed or why you dislike them after 6 months?

Fishing line worked behind the trim will do it. Do not pry!

  1. I have done this many times. Use fishing line, go straight up and down motion like a saw. You will be left with some tape residue after the molding is off. Use a little gas on a rag, lighly rub onto the glue. Dont worry it wont remove the paint. This is the easiest way to remove the residue. Just apply wax when your done.

I'd go with a little heat from a heat gun or hair dryer and some 3M adhesive remover.
