Unhappy RX headrest

Anyone know if the F Sport headrest is compatible with the non-f sport seat? Can't understand why Lexus makes the headrest adjustable on the F Sport and not on the Luxury model.

Not sure if this is what OP is talking about but you can pull the headrest forward and back horizontally in addition to up/down vertically.

Yes. On the f-sport the headrest can be position forward in 3 settings. The non f sport I drove did not have an adjustable headrest.

stopped by the dealer today, and the F sport headrests do, in fact, fit the non-f sport seats. Now to stop by parts department and see how much they're gonna gouge for them.....

$$$$$$$$$$ lots of $$$$$$$$$

plus the stitching, shade and leather are probably different . F sport has different leather than regular premium grade leathers.

Unhappy The new SUV headrest from Lexus or Toyota

I test drive the 2017 RX350 for 6 days. The only thing I don't like most - the headrest. It angled-downward, too tall to see the rear, and not adjustable.
I own a 2004 RX330, which is comfortable and angle-adjustable, ergonomic shaped. My wife drives a 2014 RAV4 has the same uncomfortable headrest design.
This new headrest caused me headache. I found all Toyota and Lexus SUV have the same headrest design. I don't want to buy a vehicle which causes me headache and uncomfortable.

I see. For the f sport at least you can adjust it forward and back. If it's a deal breaker for you then don't buy the car. The seats were uncomfortable at first too but after some time it broke in and it is very comfortable.

The "headrest" is integral to the safety systems design to limit whiplash injuries.
On the RX (and other Lexus models) you can pull the cushion forward through four (4)
positions. When pulled fully forward it will then snap back to the furthest rear spot.
You should set it as far forward as is comfortable to minimize injuries.

Unfortunately, only the RX F-sport has this "four positions" headrest. The base, premium package, and luxury package RX headrest can only go up and down. I wonder if OP got a black or stratus grey leather interior, could he/she switch out the front headrests for the F-sport ones.

I do find it weird that Lexus decided to put different headrests on non F-sport RX models. The headrests on my GS350 F-sport, mom's ES350, and sister's NX200t F-sport all have the "four positions" headrest. Dad's RX350 Luxury doesn't have it and he uses a small pillow attached to the headrests for support.

Go online to ebay and look for a headrest for sale from a different model Lexi and just replace those with the ones you have. It should fit fine as long as its a lexus. My cousin did this to his lexi 4GS fsport because he prefers the luxury GS headrest comapared to the fsport one.

Thank you. I tried my 2004 RX, the both supportive sticks under headrest do not fit the new RX350. So, the point here is the both supportive sticks how far apart, and one more thing - color.

As long as you don't get Noble Brown, you can find the adjustable headrests in the other available colors.

can you post where you found these? I've searched ebay, craigslist and even scrap parts. I HATE the non-f sport head rest and don't care to drop $500 from lexus parts to get one...
