I need a solid video on how to replace the rear brake pads on my 2019 RX450h. Does anyone have one that they can share?
Thank you!
Do you have a Google Drive folder you can share with me? I can send you Viktor's video for that. Before you do that, check his YouTube channel to see if he uploaded the file yet.

I don't think that Viktor has reloaded the video for rear brakes....he did post the fronts on his new page.
This video is only how to retract the calipers for the electronic parking brakes on the rears. You could watch this for the retraction, and then use the front video for the process. Pretty typical if you have done brakes before.
It's a standard 12-14 volt electric motor. That's for "rated" speed of actuation. The reason I recommend using a 9V battery is A. It works, B. You get the luxury of moving the actuator spindle much slower (which is a big deal since the first time you wire your two probes you likely will have it reversed such that the spindle is moving out.....but with a 9v battery it is slooooowww (read no risk of piston popping out)).
It absolutely works. I did it on both rear brakes on my 16 RX this weekend. Zero issues. No codes, no faults, EBP functions without issue at all. This is about the easiest method there is for this over engineered mess. Want more proof? Lexus sells the dealerships an SST (special service tool) that essentially does the exact same thing (uses the 12V car battery in the vehicle) to apply power the same exact way in the event you have a dead EPB controller/etc. They wouldn't offer that option if it was damaging.
As an owner of a very nice '99 LS 400 for the last 20 years---until a rear ender totaled it two weeks ago--I've done every bit of the repairs and maintenance it has ever needed. I love YouTube, I love the Lexus Forums, and I am very thankful to the folks that SHARE the info they have learned over the years. But more than anything else, I love the KISS principle. The guys that go out of their way to report how they have found the SIMPLEST and most EFFECTIVE way to get things fixed are truly what these forums are about. I intend to enjoy our 2017 RX350 for many years, and hope to get acquainted with some of the folks that genuinely love keeping their autos in tip-top shape, and helping others do the same.
Thanks guys

@Whooosh123 No it is "20221010 - 2016-2022 Lexus RX350 And RX450h Rear Brake Pads And Rotors Replacement Instructions" and is a little over 32 minutes long. It is a a 3 gigabyte file. I have all of his videos that were deleted by YouTube. He is slowly adding them back. I added masking and and other changes for him. 203 videos in total.
