I have the 2017 RX and using Samsung S7 Edge from Verizon.

Is a way to control which contacts from my phone sync to the RX? At the moment, it just syncs all of them (I have 3,000) and would like to control/limit this somehow.

Please advise. Thanks.

That's a bummer. I have tons of contacts in my phone, however, I don't need to call ALL of them. ugh....

I was hoping they would've come up with better solution by now.

 

I feel your pain. I disabled this feature too because my corporate contact address book is 10000 contacts long. If you have a similar situation, maybe you could try un-syncing the corporate account from your contacts app and then pairing it with the vehicle. I'm not sure if the vehicle downloads the contacts everytime you connect the phone, or just when you pair the phone for the first time. If the latter is the case, then you could re-sync the contacts with your corporate account after the vehicle is done downloading the contacts from your personal contacts.

 

Yes. It does resync every time the phone connects via bluetooth.

So unfortunately that's not going to work. I like the 17 RX but they've made no improvements at at here which is disappointing...

 

Yes, I had to turn it off since my phone has contacts for the whole company. The sync would take a long time and then tell me it exceeded the allowable number of contacts.
