Default Width including Mirrors

Question regarding actual width of the RX. I have a 2014 that shows width of 183", Went and measured at the dealership but not sure if I was accurate, showing 186" mirror to mirror. Is this correct? It's already a tight fit to get into my garage and folding the mirrors in is just not a viable option. We've replaced 1 mirror on the '04 and that was 5xx.xx for 1 little mishap and don't want to have to do that again. Thanks for any input.

Grab a buddy, a tape measure, roll down the windows in the RX and pass the tape through to your assistant at the other mirror and get your true measurement

Default Width with mirrors out

I apologize if this has been answered, does anyone have the width of the RX with mirrors out? Lexus doesn't have this information, even after contacting a family member who works there. Thanks!

http://www.lexus.com/models/RX/specifications

I believe these are the measurements with the mirrors in the out position.
  • Dimensions
  • Wheelbase (in.): 109.8
  • Length, Overall (in.): 192.5
  • Width, Max w/o mirrors (in.): 74.6
  • Height, Overall (in.): 67.7

It mentions there max is without the mirrors. I have the figures for the pre-2016 model.

Sorry don't have an answer for you but brings up a good point for Lexus engineers. If the vehicle is equipped with folding mirrors why not when you press the garage door button the mirrors turn in. One obviously does not not need them at that point to drive in the garage.

Very true!

Can anyone with the 2016+ generation measure width with mirrors? Or if have tight fit garage, give best guesstimate? Thanks

okay, so i just parked on the driveway and measured the floor with rx350 2017 fsport. its ~ 75" with the mirrors folded. then i measured the passenger mirror, unfolded to be ~ 6". so i'm guessing the total unfolded width to be 75" + 12" = 87"

Default 2021 RX350 width with and without mirrors

Just bought a 2021 RX350 (not in my possession) and forgot to measure the width with mirrors extended.

Does anyone have an accurate measurement? Is the 2021 width smaller than the new 2024 RX350s?
I hope it fits my 8' (96") garage width. My 2014 Venza fits but the mirrors do not need to retracted.
Crossing RX350 can be parked with mirrors extended.

Thanks

Well, if you already bought, it doesn't matter. You'll find out when you get it home. I believe you have power mirrors?

You will be fine with a 2021. Without mirrors, you are at about 74.6" wide. The 2024 is little wider, but not by much.

Yes, my mistake. I just measured a 2024, and it is approx. 89" with mirrors.
