Is there any way to modify what is displayed on the menu screen? Is there aftermarket software available so I modify more to my liking and needs? Thanks....

 

BeatSonic USA is working on integrating CarPlay into the Lexus system. Seems like the unit for the 2016/17 RX will be released in the first or second quarter of 2017.

I wonder why they decided to go with GS first? Seems like a no brainer to target the most popular vehicle if you want sales.

 

That'd be cool to have more options for modifying what's on the screen and where it could be placed. Beat sonic does have an iPhone mirroring kit that works with the 2016 RX 350. I'm planning on holding out for the CarPlay integrator early next year.

They also sell a navigation/dvd in motion product - not getting that one - my safety is more important than fiddling with too much while I'm driving.

However, for that product, they have an incredibly detailed take-apart video, which is the same procedure you'd need to perform for the mirroring product or the car play product. . amazing how easy it can be after watching someone walk the details.
