i had the same question when i got mine. i have nav and a HUD. I questioned the dealer and cant remember exactly, but was told with my options that feature is deleted on the rear view mirror. The direction of travel shows up on both of those features so you really don't need it on the mirror. When i heard that from the dealer i considered that official since it seamed reasonable. And now that i see all these comments I think it really is official.

You are probably correct that the option was removed, but I don't agree with "The direction of travel shows up on both of those features so you really don't need it on the mirror" I would prefer it in the mirror, because as I stated before--I have other uses for the screens. 600.00 is laughable...Can't wait for the day when Toyota will include Android so I can get music and navigation as I want it. The day is coming.

Yes, i don't disagree with you. I was looking for that feature when i got my "new toy". And of course you are right, that if you find it more convenient to see it that way you should be able to. But, just sayin, for me, after i heard that, i was a bit disappointed, but months later its ok, (for me). Because on the other hand i do use the nav and the HUD so I really do have it covered. If i didn't like and use the HUD and always wanted my screen on music or something like that, i could see that that would s-u-c-k.
