I thought that the compass in the rear-view mirror was standard, and especially on an Executive Class Seating Package!

I have tried "holding the power button for 3 seconds", but nothing. Can anybody help me here or is this mirror broken?

 

Is the cutout there for the direction display? I think since you have navigation they don't put it in the mirror anymore since it is in the top left of the nav.

If it does have it, it's not visible to me, but since i do have nav, it makes sense to not have it in the rear mirror.

However, it is a much more convenient place to look at the mirror. . .

I would be better on the mirror and not have to take your eyes quite so far off the road.

Thanks for asking this question -- I had the same one when I couldn't figure out why I didn't see the compass on my mirror. Darn that built-in-nav! I don't recall the owners manual (all 700 pages of it) mentioning that the compass won't be there if the nav is. I'll have to go back and look again.

Man I wish I had a compass option, I wanted to get a 13 but my budget was only good for my 2008 when at the dealer, there was a 13 on the showroom floor behind me the whole time so I told the dealership to make believe I was buying the 13, was a great feeling. If you have the "Nav" option, you have a very nice compass.

 

just look at where the sun is, or the stars. natural easy to use compass .

 

I will play dumb at the dealer the next time i take it in, and claim that the compass is broken on the mirror and see if i can get a free replacement!
