Drive Start Control malfunction
The temperature was in the teens last night. I started my RX and noticed it struggled a bit to start, which was very uncharacteristic after owning it for a year. While driving I got the Start-Control message. I put the two incidents together and thought in might be a failing battery. Of course I came here to see what kind of feedback has already been posted about this issue. Sure enough, further down the feed I see this issue may be related to an old battery. If I remember correctly, mine is an original Lexus battery from 2016. I only had 29K when I purchased it last year. Certainly time for a new one.
I always buy the best batteries (and tires) but I thought I'd throw the question out to everyone. Is there a battery that people have had exceptionally good or bad experiences with on this vehicle? I'm currently looking at Duracell Ultra Platinum AGM 750CCA BCI Group 34R Car and Truck Battery or the X2Power Premium AGM 840CCA BCI Group 24F Car and Truck Battery I'm leaning more toward the Duracell as it is 1/3 cheaper with the same four year free replacement warranty.
Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated. Thank you.
