Default Pano Roof

Hi all,

Those who have the pano roof option, what do you think about it? Glad you got it or no biggie? I would like to hear your opinions about it.

Those who don't have it, is the standard moon roof satisfactory for you?

Thanks,
Rich

My 4RX Luxury has the pano.

I am not big on open windows or sunroof when I drive but there are time that i enjoy opening up the screen to let the sun come in. I hardly ever have anyone in the back seat so . . . .

If you're looking to put a roof rack on your car, Lexus currently does not have a OEM solution for RX's with pano roofs. If you have the standard moon roof, Lexus does have OEM cross bars which will work. Note, no aftermarket rack makers such as Yakima or Thule have rack systems for our cars as of yet.

As skiracer mentioned, the rack thing is a deal breaker, as I like to put my skis on top and occasionally carry a kayak or something like that. I have a moon roof and that is fine with me. I probably use it once a month or so (not often). I should probably use it more often, as I like fresh air, but I never think of it. I rarely have anyone in the back seat, either.

Good feedback. I like driving with the moon roof open a lot when I don't have passengers in the car. Do the pano roof open as much as the standard moon roof?

I was told that you have a little more head room with the Pano. I have one & really like it.

Hopefully this gives you an idea on how wide it opens.

Of course we need a pic from someone who has a regular sunroof fully opened in order to see a true comparison

The best thing about my pano roof is push button open and close. I have the manual pano in my ES and it's a pain to open/close.

Does the shade for the RX's pano roof block all sunlight? When I had my Q7, Audi used a mesh-like cloth material that still let in a lot of light. This caused the car to be extra hot when parked in the sun.

Yes, it will block 100% sunlight.
