I am thinking about mudguards for my 2017 rx 350 but if they are so necessary then don't the engineers at Lexus know this? I'm kidding. Of course they know. Dings and minute chips to the paint can happen at all locations on the car. Would anyone recommend just the front or rear wheels for mudguards or both front and rear?
Cocal, thanks for your experience but I'm in the USA. I need input from USA RX 350 owners who have installed mud guards. I could care less what they do in Canada, or Hong Kong, Brazil, or Egypt.
Mud Guards are standard in Canada and I think they are standard on all AWD models.
In my experience they ought to be used on all 4 wheels, they will reduce by a great amount the damage done by gravel, not to mention
the fact that in the rain a lot less water will be sprayed on the vehicles behind.
definitely not standard in the usa on awd models.
had to order mine

I’d think the mud, rocks and rain work exactly the same flinging up behind an RX in the US as they do in Canada, Hong Kong, Brazil and Egypt. His shared experience with them is plenty useful and exactly answered your question.
Dave1GS4, you are absolutely correct and I stand corrected. I hope I did not offend cocal. I love Canada which has the best fishing anywhere (northwest Ontario). Rocks are the same everywhere. Now it's time to decide which mudguards to purchase.

LMAO!! to make your decision easier its only 1 design for aftermarket and 1 design for factory. i was gonna save the few bucks and go aftermarket but i think im a go factory since it looks more flush and goes up the wheel well more compared to aftermarket which is extremely shorter AFTERMARKET MUDGUARDS FACTORY MUDGUARD

I found these mudguards at lexuspartsnow.com for $82.42 plus shipping. Part number PU060-4801T-P1. Does that sound right? Is this a good place to buy these mudguards? $106.94 includes tax and shipping.

might be cheaper purchasing directly from your local dealership it’s usually like 75 bucks or so . Do you plan on installing yourself
Installed the OEM mudguards today. I was certainly in no hurry to get the job done, took me about 2 hours.
Thanks to everyone how contributed to this thread for the pointers and pics. Most importantly, the pics of the front bottom clip location- the factory directions were not clear to me.
Irwin quick grips made easy work holding the front pieces in place for drilling.
