Youtube has a video on an older ES model -- it was a "start easy" mode transmission setting. On Gen. 4, you can lock the 4 wheels below 20 mph., if that's helpful to dealing with a snow situation.
Where? on my 2017 there is only a way to lock the differential, but I can't remember ever seeing a snow mode.
For me it used to be when you would press the “pages” button on the steering wheel, the going up/down until I saw ECT Snow”. When I press and hold the pages on my 2018 all it does is sets the default page.
No such thing on a 2018. Did you get a manual with your car? (Trying to imagine why a person in Florida cares about snow mode ....)
I did get a manual when I got the car, but there is no say of ECT Snow like there was in my 2010. I guess they removed the feature?? I don’t know why they would, as it was great and would reduce wheel slippage.

Also, please note my 2018 is AWD, I do have the AWD Lock button. Just don’t have ECT snow. A friend of mine has it in her 2015. So I have to guess they removed it for the 2016 redesign?

My guess is that the "snow mode" (2nd gear start off) is the default from 2016 on and the car only goes into 1st if you make a very quick start from a stop, it was so in my MB E350 4Matic. There is plenty of torque in the V6 to operate this way.
As others have mentioned in this thread, setting the drive mode selector to "Eco" seems to emulate most of what the ECT Snow Mode function did (dulls throttle response and changes transmission shift points to lower RPM). It won't start the transmission in 2nd gear as far as I'm aware, but you might be able to accomplish that on your own using the sport shift mode on the transmission gear lever. A combination of Eco and locking the center diff should be sufficient to get you out of whatever scenarios Snow Mode would have helped with.

Eco has nothing to do with snow mode. It's there ONLY as a feel good choice as it is an utterly useless setting, I'd be very surprised if even 5% of buyers uses it beyond once or twice out of curiosity.

He probably means since there's less throttle response in ECO, you're less likely to spin your wheels in slippery road conditions in that mode.
