Default AWD and Snow Button

I previously owned a 2010 RX 350 which was able to switch to snow mode. I don't see an option to switch to snow. Does anyone know where to find it .

This owner's manual. At page 373 shows locking AWD.

mud and you need to free it."

But note:

1. The locked AWD mode is cancelled if you apply the brakes.
2. The mode is active for speeds up to 25 MPH only.

That button is a differential lock button, it is an approximation of the Low Range 4WD drive mode on other vehicles that have a multi-speed transfer case. It is as the manual suggests a way to get going from something you may be stuck in (snow in a parking space, for example). I call it an approximation because as others have already mentioned, the RX is AWD not 4WD and lacks a multi-speed transfer case as well as limited slip or "posi" type front/rear differentials. It may approximate limited slip by applying brake force to the slipping wheel, many new cars do this. Also, while some may tout the "greatness" of 4WD, please note that Low Range is called that for a reason: it is designed for low speed, your differentials won't be happy to be locked at higher speeds while you're making a turn and the outside/inside wheels want to spin at different speeds. Further, after any vehicle gets going from a stop the more important aspect is tire traction, not whether it is front/rear/all/4 wheel drive, which is why under normal conditions you'll notice the RX appropriates most of the torque to the front wheels, especially above 25/35 MPH.

Default Wheres Snow Mode?

I am guessing it was deleted on the 16 RX, but what happened to snow mode? This would be this Lexus me or my family has owned without it if this is the case.

The TRAC button is located just below and to the right of the drive mode dial.

If the vehicle gets stuck in mud, dirt or snow, the TRAC system may reduce
power from the engine to the wheels. Pressing to turn the system off may
make it easier for you to rock the vehicle in order to free it.
To turn the TRAC system off, quickly
press and release .
The “Traction Control Turned Off” will
be shown on the multi-information display.
Press again to turn the system
back on.

The '16 RX does not have a snow mode that I know of. To be honest, there is some debate over whether the snow mode that existed previously really did anything of significance. In my personal experience with it in the '15 IS, all snow mode did was to reduce throttle sensitivity during initial acceleration to reduce potential wheel slip.

ahh maybe drive in Eco Mode in the snow? For lighter throttle response for similar affects

(but i thought snow mode adjusted the ABS and ESP algorithm.

Already been discussed here (moderators, please consider combining these): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...snow-mode.html

From what I can tell, there is no snow mode...only a differential lock mode. Please reference the other thread.

Default No ect snow mode on 2017 Rx350?

Am i missing something or does the new RX350’s no longer have the ECT Snow mode. I used this a lot on my 2010 RX350 and really liked the traction you get with it turned on. If it is dropped, any reason why?

I suspect the RX usually starts out in 2 or 3rd gear to limit acceleration and improve fuel economy.

Default ECT Snow Missing

I recently got a 2018 RX350 about a month ago, and today wanted to turn on the ECT Snow mode (which I had in my 2010), but I can’t figure out how to activate it. Has the feature been removed?
