I can easily get 26mpg at 65-70 so your 24mpg at 70-80 is not that far off.
Driving is stop and go traffic has way too many variables to use for comparison from one person to another.
Using regular BP and not disappointed in the least. Not sure what is wrong with regular in Australia but there is nothing wrong with get name brand regular in the USA.

I did mostly city and it's averaging 16 mpg. I haven't gotten to go on a long trip yet but i did do a 50 mile trip and it only averaged 21-22mpg on the freeway. I don't like the claims of 19mpg city and 26mpg hwy if you have it steady at that speed. My old 2006 4runner claimed 17 city 21 hwy and that is spot on. I don't know if lexus reverted back to the old mileage claims or not where it wasn't as accurate as it should be instead of milsleading consumers to make it seem it was more gas efficient. If i did all city driving i would expect to hit near 19 mpg not 16mpg.

Why? If car manufacturer recommendations are to use regular unleaded gas then there is no reason to use premium.

I think winter fuel is the one of reason for bad MPG. Just wait for about a month or so, MPG should get better.

except I'm in norcal and the temps here have been between 55-75.
i've been paying more attention, it looks like we're doing around 12-13 mpg in the city. I think that's the main culprit for me.
when they do these mpg tests, do they assume one person in the car and in "eco" mode? i still feel like lexus is exaggerating 10-20%, esp since the 8 speed tries to keep rpm low (hesitation issues) and we're still not hitting the mpg numbers.

Miles per gallon for a full tank on a 2016 Lexus RX 350 while city driving with lots of stops and 35-40 mph with 18" wheels and Bridgestone Ecopia tires filled to recommended pressure 33 psi. 4th full tank will be with 20" f sport graphite wheels with Michelin Premier LTX on 38 psi.
1st tank 15.6 Normal mode OEM gas
2nd tank 16.2 Eco mode 7-Eleven regular gas
3rd tank 15.5 Eco mode Racetrac regular gas
4th tank 16.5 Eco mode 7-Eleven Regular gas (switch to 20" and 38 psi from 18" and 33 psi)

I got 26 mpg (calculated) on my last tank; 70% HW 30% city. I have been getting around 22mpg when I do 50/50. I have usually gotten 1.5-2 mpg better than EPA here in Denver with multiple cars I've owned. Also, my city driving is not stop and go. Unlike my Rav4, I find the computer estimate to be very close to my real fuel consumption.
