To clarify what I what I was implying:: Indeed, ask her for a refund even if "she will have to pay it out of her own pocket if I want a refund" because the dealership will obviously not make her pay for it since they are returning your money because they lied initially. Also, please name the dealership.

Four words. Not my problem HOMEBOY! You shouldn't have to pay for someone else's mistake, I'd get a refund and sleep comfortably at night. If she doesn't like the fact she has to pay for it out of her pocket (WHICH IS NOT THE CASE) then she should fix that with her bosses; not with your pocket. In fact I'd call her on it and do two things. 1. Get your refund 2. As a follow-up tell her you'd like to talk to the GM about how there was a misunderstanding at the dealership side of things and how you'd like to help fix that misunderstanding on the type of refund you're requesting.

Good luck!

I've looked through all pages of this thread and wasn't able to come to a conclusion of whether my particular offer is a good one or not.

I was offered $43,120.44 out-the-door for 2016 Lexus 350 base with heated front seats + power rear doors.

Wondering if folks on here think this is a good deal or what I should be working with.

Its simple, at this point You should aim for 10% or MORE. If the sticker price and you quoted price is less then 10% then pass .If close to ten (9 and above) your getting a good deal

Just trying to understand this correctly:

Sticker price: $43,789.00
10%: $4,378.90
Quoted Price for me: $39,410.10
Out the door quote for me was: $43,120.44

So does that mean this is a good deal?

Not sure if you mean 10% out the door, or the quoted price excluding taxes, etc.

She never calls, seems like she cant keep her words. so I called general manager again, then she called after 30 mins. hahah.
She said manger offer $500 credit to use at the dealer, I refused and sticking with the cancellation. then she denied about telling me I can cancel if the insurance cover it, I got pissed so I started complaining and telling her things I will do such as reviews and report to GM and BBB, then right away this is what she said " Its okay, Life is too short, I will pay for it" Damn straight I will get my refund for something they messed up. I had great experience from the beginning until this happended. kinda annoying but at least she responsible for her own fault at the end.

Getting back to the original topic purpose, what degree of discounts off of MSRP are recent buyers seeing? I'm looking for a nearly loaded Luxury package (no pano roof) and wondering what type of inventory is currently coming in since local dealers seem ready to aggressively discount the Premium equipped, but not the Luxury.

Default Great price....easy process

We just picked up our 2016 RX. We ordered it a couple of months ago...mostly because we wanted HUD....and parchment interior...which wasn't in inventory at the time.
The dealer required NO DEPOSIT..
They guaranteed a figure on our trade and offered a fair discount.
When the vehicle arrived..they said discounts had increased...and offered us an additional $1200...for a total of close to 5k.
They had been so wonderful to work with..we thanked them and took delivery.
They spent about 2 to 3 hours showing us how everything worked. This was our 2nd RX.
The deal was about $4000 better than the Lexus dealer 10 miles from our house.
The dealership is just outside of Washington DC....minutes away from our 7 month old granddaughter.
Our salesman Denys Yankin was professional and honest.
His cell number is 202 299 6118
Dealership is Pohanka Lexus of Chantilly
Highly recommend Denys.
Mention Tom and Bev...

Your best deals are going to be at the "Mega" dealerships. I went into my local dealer yesterday and all he gave me off was $1000 !!! After what I saw others got... Looks like I'll be shopping at one of those "Other" dealerships.

Depends on the dealership and volume basically. I know of Mega dealerships who just go below a set price cause they know the rest of the market is unable to go low, so they can sit around and get 70% sales in the region.

Then there are dealerships who are not mega (very few left) who will do whatever it takes at a certain point to meet their requirements for a set time period
