Default Best years for the 4RX?

Ok, I was just told my 2017 with like 70 grand on the clock has a front cover leak, rear main leak, and water pump leak. Wtf? I thought these cars were super solid. At any rate, I hear the 2016 and 2017 RXs were more problematic than the later years; have you guys hear this before? Have any of you went to a a mechanic (not the dealer) to have these repairs done? What did it cost you?
And lastly, how can I get a leak from the front and the back of one of the most reliable engines around at the same time? What comes to my mind is the crankcase's pressurizing maybe due to a faulty PCV valve. Anyone see that before on their RXes?

I can't answer any of your questions but currently own a 3rd gen and looking at the 4th for next purchase sometime this month. I'd be interested in hearing responses on this as well. I've also heard the same rumor on the 2016/17's being the ones to avoid - would like to know if there is any truth to that based on owner feedback.

So this engine 2GR is famous for all these leaks my friend has a Toyota Sienna suffering from all these leaks. So this in particular is not RX350 problem it's the engine type mainly used in many Toyota Lexus vehicles.

Replace your PCV valve. Cheap insurance and only takes 15 minutes. https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...204-0p020.html

Had a 2016 & 2020 and liked the 2020 better. Only issue I had with it was the door not closing fully without slamming it. Dealer adjusted all doors.

Yes he does - and he breaks down his reviews / opinions on what to buy or avoid by generation / year.

Yea, unfortunately I pulled mine to check it and it's fine; nothing wrong with it. I was hoping it was clogged
