My center console started splitting out of now where and its getting bigger by the day. I tried going to a vinyl shop to repair it and was told that it would be difficult or impossible to fix due to the way that it is clocked in. Any suggestions on how or where to take it that is affordable?

 

If a vinyl repair shop couldn't fix it, then what would you do? Try a different shop?

Definitely try another upholstery shop (auto or furniture). That can be invisibly repaired, no problem.

 

probably too small of a job for some shops.

I ordered a replacement console lid from Presige Lexus of Ramsey. I have a 2016 Lexus Rx350 F sport with red interior. The cost was $247.

Just buy another lid. Labour to fix it will be more, plus it won’t be a perfect fix.
