Can anyone advise on the system which would be connected to the wiring terminal behind the cowl at passenger side of the vehicle near the bottom of the windshield?

We had a new windshield installed and there was wiring connected at this terminal prior, but nothing was connected after the new windshield was installed. What did they miss?

Wiring terminal behind cowl passenger side after recent windshield install. Prior to new windshield, wiring was connected to this terminal and entended to base of windshield. What system does the serve?

Probably cold area spec aka heated windshield.

It is possible that your car came with heated glass under the wipers and the new glass is missing that feature.

Check with Lexus of your car came with heated windshield which is typically part of cold weather package as @LeX2K mentioned

Thank you for the replies. Will check the vehicle accessories installed, i.e. heated wiper button on the dash.

There is no hard button on Lexus.

If equipped it will be a sub menu under heating and ventilation menus in the center screen

Heated windshield option. To operate, click the three bars to the right of this icon. Toggle feature on/off. Amazing option for snowy winter climates.
