can someone who has used this or have this feature on another lexus comment on this feature?

does the deicer de-ice the whole windshield? (just like the embedded wires in the rear windshield)
or does it just de-ice the area where the wipers are normally at rest?

 

The de-icer only runs along the base of the windshield where the wipers rest.

Yeah, its not a heated windshield like you see on some models.
