Adaptive Cruise Control shutting down a few minutes after being engaged, then followed by alerts that Collision Avoidance is not functioning, and showing the orange triangle and !. Only turning off the ignition and restarting will clear the warnings. This all started a few weeks ago, when the ACC turned itself off, saying the radar sensor needed cleaning, which I carefully did, only to have it send the same alert. Since then, I can successfully turn on the ACC, and it works for a few minutes, then it starts notifying me with the same warnings, including an occasional message that the front facing camera is malfunctioning. It may be heat related because it only seems to happen after I've been driving for awhile. Standard CC, cross traffic warning and parking assist all work fine. Anyone hear of this issue before?

Reason: typo
there was an issue the windshield camera would cause, not sure if this was it or not.
I think the remedy was remove the cover by the rear view mirror , clean the windshield by the sensor, sorry, super foggy on it. what it caused and the exact remedy. might be worth a quick search
I have cleaned all the surfaces I can get to, but now I am getting "system unavailable" even more frequently. Any idea what a system calibration /error code scan would cost, and if there are options that are more reasonable than Lexus dealerships? I know the testing and alignment systems look pretty expensive on Utube, but I don't know if independent shops are available out there.
Independent body shops recalibrate the system with collision repairs. The cost with our last grill repair was $150. The dealership would have charged $1000.
