I was told by a body shop that this is a factory defect. There is no other damages I can see on whole vehicle, with no accidents reported. I am hoping someone can chime in on what exactly this is? It’s on both side, but slightly worse on the drivers side.
It also seems like the black gladding which surrounds the wheel opening is not right. Has the car been serviced lately? Maybe the mechanic used the wrong lifting points under the car. If so, something could have bent. I can't imagine an RX looking like this was allowed to leave the factory. If it's under warranty, bring it in.
I took it back to the dealership and they agreed it looks like someone lifted it wrong. They are going to fix it. So I suggest inspection after taking them in for service. You never know 🫣!

It did not come from the factory that way, and Lexus dealers/techs know where the jack points are. I'd say a shade tree mechanic who was too lazy to look up the jack points made a boo-boo.

Just want to say that a Lexus Tech put my RX on the lift and damaged the right side running board. The service manager was ripped, and replaced it.
