My wife has a beautiful black RX350 with FWD, and original alloy wheels. She would like chrome wheels, which I have seen on a few RX350's. What would be a good source to look for these, or similar 18x8 chromes? I have checked amazon and ebay, and did not see anything I liked. We would both like to find a set of Lexus originals....ideas?
I have checked the forum ads. Found a set, but badly chipped/flaking. Anybody help me out? Can take with or without tires...
The OEM 18 inch wheel is 7.5 inches wide. However 8 inches wide will work just fine.
There may be something you like at Wheel Collision the place linked below which sells new/used/rebuilt OEM wheels. I have used them a couple of times to replace damaged wheels. You can trade your old ones in to them. You can call them to make sure the ones you like will fit.
There is some play in the offset that will work.
Almost every Toyota/Lexus has the same hub bore and bolt pattern and similar offset if FWD, thus you can also look at Toyota Highlander wheels or Sienna wheels or Lexus ES350 wheels. They share the platform with the RX and will fit perfectly. You can also go to 19 inch, or 8 inch wide as you stated. https://www.wheelcollision.com/store...00H-RX450H.htm

My wife's 2006 Jaguar XK8 convertible came new with a factory set of very pricey 19-inch Atlas chrome wheels. When we purchased the car in February 2012 at 36,000 miles, a couple of the wheels were just beginning to flake at their edges. As the years passed, the flaking spread and the pitting began. This past May, one of the front tires began to lose air due to the gradually-spreading flaking / pitting issues in its bead area. That was the last straw for me. I did my research and wound up ordering a beautiful set of aftermarket Vertini silver alloy 19-inch wheels and could not be happier with the decision to finally scrap the lousy Atlas chrome wheels. Just wish I had bitten the bullet and done this years ago instead of putting up with it. I vow to never own a set of chrome wheels again.
