Default Alternator replace error

While replacing alternator on 2011 rx350 pulled red and green wires connected to the L bracket out of the sensor or whatever it may be. Was looking for any insight on what it’s going to. Car will not crank now.

A picture of said connector would be useful.
Did you disconnect the battery when you replaced the alternator?
From your description, I assume when you try to start the car, the starter motor does not turn, hence the car will not start.
Possibly you blew a main fuse, or did not connect the main power wires correctly.
A sensor should not prevent a starter from engaging and attempting a start process.

Unfortunately I don’t have a picture. And yes battery was disconnected. The car will turn over but will not crank. The wires are connected to the L bracket of the alternator in a wire loom going down towards the bottom of the engine. It’s connect point is located right behind the ac compressor.

Not trying yo nit-pic, but at times words convey the wrong information. Crank is the term for linear to angular motion. Starter motor spinning the crank shaft is referred to as 'cranking'.

If the starter can turn over/crank the engine, your problem is that the engine is not 'catching'.

I would suggest, verify the existence of spark and that problem can be imobilizer [security system] or some blown fuse(s).

I’m gonna guess one of the crankshaft position sensors. We need someone to provide a schematic.

Possible as the connector/wires run close, but that should light up the CEL

For live data, yes. But for static data, ignition should be on. It seems you are lucky and have not had CEL set, as that pesky light will stay on once set with ignition on. It has memory too and once set it stays on till cleared. To be precise, some codes clear out based on enough cycles that are considered normal.

did you see this video? I cannot recall if he identified what those wires go to, but he did talk about the bracket and some wires that need to be moved...

The crankshaft position sensor is located at the front of the engine, near the crankshaft pulley, behind the air conditioning compressor. Therefore, these are most likely the wires leading to it. You can perform a test – connect a diagnostic scanner. Access the online parameters. When cranking the engine with the starter, check the RPM parameter. If it shows zero, then these are indeed the crankshaft position sensor wires.

It's also possible that these wires are connected to the compressor, and when they broke off, a short circuit occurred and the fuse blew. Check fuse IG2, EFI MAIN (EFI NO.1 / EFI NO.2), AM2

Based on the wire colors, these are likely the wires for the air conditioner compressor.
