Installing a gas door spring
Hello friends, recently I noticed that the gas door on my RX 350 (2013) wasn’t opening. After some research, and thanks to someone in this forum, I realized the gas door spring wasn’t working as expected. So now one person has to click the button in the car, and someone else has to prop the door open using a credit card.
Now I don’t think the spring is broken, it just came loose. Can someone here give me instructions or a link on how to install the spring? I did some trial & error (mostly errored), and looked online but wasn’t able to find instructions for my specific model.
For context, this is what the spring looks like.

First gen has a "v" shaped spring and it slides into place. Hard to explain, but it is is intuitive. Check with Lexus parts [dealership] and getting a fresh oneway be a better option.

Welcome to CL and I think this is the first time anyone has had this problem. Your post did not contain a photo of the spring.
Are you sure it is the spring and not the latch?
I found this in the 2nd Gen RX forum https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...oor-hinge.html
These are the part numbers https://parts.nalleylexusroswell.com...0Door%20Spring
773648030 is the fuel door spring
770300E020 is the fuel door latch - Here is is on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/255064755451
This place has better drawings https://www.mylparts.com/oem-parts/l...ing-7736648030
This video shows the replacement of the latch
This video claims to fix it with a binder clip
