Default Oil cooler

How do I find out if my 2010 RX has an oil cooler?

I'm guessing you're inquiring about the rubber oil cooler lines? Some 2010s and 2011s still had them so there's a chance you will have them if you have the cooler.

You'll have the oil cooler it if you have the towing prep package (can be decoded from the VIN). Otherwise, pull the front undercover splash shield for the engine, and you can see the cooler and cooler tube piping in front of the oil pan.

Don't the oil coolers have vents in the front part of the left front fender well also? Or are the vents always there and the only way to know about the cooler is to do as you said?

The mini-radiator or vents on the driver’s side lower bumper is the transmission oil cooler, also a standard feature of the towing package. Both my RXs and Highlander have it all in the same spot, and all of them have the towing package (it’s standard in Canada).

I would check the return line to the cooler, both of them leaked on my older RX and HL respectively, and I had to replace the like with some transmission oil cooler hose in 3/8” inner diameter size.

The engine oil cooler is that little puck-shaped unit near the metal cooler lines at the front of the pan. Some older RX350s and Highlanders also got a power steering cooler as well which looks like some tubes running in front of the radiator on the passenger side.

See this thread as it has photos and explains the replacement procedure. You will then know what to look for when you look under the front of the vehicle.
