Any ideason how to reset this message? In the maintenancesettings on the car, ( 2015 Lexus RX 350 ) there are no dates on any of the items, oil change, battery change, etc. At first it said , maintenance required soon. It would disappear after a few seconds. Now it displays this all the time. My question is, what maintenance. Just wondering if this is Lexus's version of, the "check engine" light? Any info is appreciated. Apologies if this has already been addressed. If it has, I couldn't find it. Thanks...
Check the maintenance and warranty user manual [thinest of the user manuals] and look at the milage based. There are minor, medium and extensive services based on milage. If this RX is new to you, you may like to check with the dealership [with your vin] to see what services have been done by the dealer. Lexus dealerships are connected and any service does in US. [Cross country records may not be available].
If you search you will find the method to reset the light, but please make sure the services listed for the odd reading are performed either by DIY, dealer or an independent. Some people ignore services, but that would be pennywise and pound foolish [imho]. Also use quality parts and materials. Avoid shade tree mechanics and you can save money by not going to the dealership [high labor rates].

Any special reason for making your text bold?
PS: Take a note of all warning lights in the dash before starting the vehicle. A quick read of the user manual will explain each warning light and one of them [outline of the engine] is the Check Engine light.

Thanks for the info. I will check the warranty user manual. I have had the car for just shy of a year and it has been trouble free. I am due for an oil change in a few hundred miles. If I haven't solved it by then, I'm sure they can tell me how to correct it. When I was preparing the thread, the type seemed very small. I thought using bold type would make it easier to read.
Typically I do not give the proverbial rope in the first post.
Try "rx350+reset+maintenance+light" as search in your web browser to learn how to do it.
These days vehicles are not being driven much, but normally folks do 12,000 miles a year. With synthetic oil, 3rd gen are suggested an oil change every 10,000 miles. But as alluded in my previous post, not every service is just oil change. Folks even recommend intervals of 5k to 7K with synthetic.
You can round off your odometer to every 5,000 miles (round to nearest) and do a search for what is needed at <your_milage> service + RX350.
The "Maintenance Required" message will display 5,000 miles after being reset each time. It is simply a reminder for you to check your owners manual for what services are to be done based upon your vehicle's mileage. What services you actually decide to perform is up to you.
Following is how to reset the "Maintenance Required" message in my wife's 2015 RX350. Do not depress the brake pedal during any of these steps:
1. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button once to power up the dashboard. Do not start the engine.
2. Display the trip meter A, then press the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn it OFF.
3, While pressing the ODO/TRIP button, simultaneously press the ENGINE START/STOP button to IGNITION ON mode.
4. Keep the ODO/TRIP button pressed for approximately 5 seconds. The reset procedure is complete when 000000 flashes once in the trip meter. The "Maintenance Required" message will then disappear from the dashboard.
This usually means you need an oil change and regularl 3-6k mile maintenance. The dealer will reset your lights when they’re done with the work. If you do it yourself I’m pretty sure you can turn it off by holding down the mileage button for 15 sec. Should say in the manual though!
