Default --Brake Caliper Color Poll

Yes i know i don't have a big brake kit. I've tried many options to get a affordable kit but nothing worked. For now i want to paint them.

I vote for matching the side mirrors. Other colors may look good on the own, but package needs to be coherent.

Black, exactly what I was going to suggest. Your tiny brakes are going to look very 2000’s Civic’y in a bright color.

Yep, leave it stock. These things are far from performance vehicles and no amount of window dressing will ever change that fact.

Leave it stock, then they are hardly noticeable. Painting the calipers will draw attention to them and as noted above, look Civicy. This is not a performance vehicle. Even if painted black, they will still barely be noticed behind the wheels. I did this years ago on a vehicle and the black calipers are really almost as invisible as the dirty stock calipers and when dirty looked about the same.

Just a couple of follow up notes.

1. OP & others when you start a thread, you have an option of starting it as real "poll" where you list all the options [other can be an option too]. That thread then gives you the stats as members respond.

2. As pointed out, there is very little area that is visible [there is the dark side of the moon]. The visible side has the spokes that hide a portion too. But when the wheel is spinning the full face becomes visible [there is a scientific term but that escapes me now ... you can see through the privacy fence .. with minor gaps ..when you drive bye].

The term seems to be - stroboscopic effect - visual phenomenon caused by aliasing that occurs when continuous
rotational motion is represented by a series of short or instantaneous samples. See Wikipedia for the full description.
