I ordered tow hitch from etrailer.com the production details is -- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver -Custom Fit - Class III -2". After I installed them, I found the hitch touch muffler during the drive that produce a loud vibration sound, especially at 20-40 miles.

My question is if I ordered a wrong model or I damaged the muffler during installation, or it is the way it works.

You should also contact etrailer as they are usually very good with customer assistance. Did you review and follow their installation video?

 

just called etrailer.com customer support and they committed that some customers reported the same issue that fixed by adding a longer hanger for muffler. Will check with local muffler dealer tomorrow to see if they can fix the problem
