2011 RX350
Backup camera is very dim. Cleaned, lights work as they should, still very hard to see anything in the dark. Very Pixely..
Is there a way to upgrade that camera to something better? Or, just add a light bar in the back? We live in farmland, plenty of very dark driveways with shrubs or rocks on the sides. Or ditches, even better.

Well, at least I'll replace the light bulbs with LEDs.

 

Yep. MUCH better. That was like the fastest Lexus job I ever done. LEDs in, shine bright and far. Much better.

 

What bulbs did you use?

 

 

I feel like there's something wrong with yours if you're finding it "pixelated". I've never had much to complain about mine in the dark. Are you confident yours is working, fine?

 

After seeing your recommendation I put those bulbs in yesterday and they made a big difference. It is much brighter and easier to see when backing up.

 

Was it an easy installation? Do you have a guide that you followed?

 

There are two squares in the carpeted area towards the back window that can be popped out using a screwdriver. The bulbs are inside.
