Default Drivers side heated seat not working

The heated seat is not working on the drivers side. When I turn on the switch no heat, and no green light. The passenger side works fine. I'm thinking it's the switch because the passenger side works and I get a green light. How do I remove the switch to check the assembly ?
Does it just pry up and come out that way ? Or is there a relay or fuse for each side ?

The switch just pries up and has a couple of wires that plug into it. It is better to use plastic trim removal tools to avoid marking up the console.
They have been known to fail.
A new one is over $500.
You can find used replacements on eBay for around $75. The same switch is used on a couple of different Lexus models. Search: 2011 RX350 heated seat switch OEM (2010-2015 are the same)
I think the IS may take the same switch. You can tell by looking and eBay listers will tell you what it fits.

Yes, I already checked on the replacement part cost - $575- $625, just nuts, I really don't know how they can charge $600 for a switch that doesn't last 100K miles. I have had several cars with heated seats and this is the first time for a switch failure - I would expect more from Lexus,

Bringing this one back to life... the heated seats in my 2011 RX350 aren't working. The lighted controls for both driver and passenger seats do not light up.

I've checked the fuses 'under the steering wheel', but they look OK. I could've sworn the manual said a fuse related to seats was also in the fuse box in the engine compartment. But I can't find that reference anymore.

Any suggestions or guidance would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

As stated in post 2 you probably need a new seat switch. That is the usual source of this problem. Try eBay or a local junkyard.

Thanks for your time, Clutchless.

The reason I was hoping it might be something else is that I've already had the driver side heater switch replaced. Work order/invoice below.

Purchased new in 2010, switch failed in 2013 with only 26,000 km (16,000 miles). Now at only 59,000 km the passenger seat and the replacement are gone too? Can I get a big round of "Sheesh"?

That was 9 years ago and a lot can break in that time. Mostly it depends on how much you use the switch.
