Buying a used 2010 LEXUS RX350 with 70000 miles
I recently came across a 2010 RX 350 (One owner) with 70000 miles. Everything was good except for the fact that , the lexus drivers website shows rodent damages twice. It is described as follows, Is it advisable to proceed?
SERVICE: LEXUS SERVICE
DESCRIPTION: LEXUS SERVICE ~|~C/S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN AFTER PICKING UP FROM SERVICE ~|~ ~|~65755 RODENT DAMAGES FOR #3 INJECTOR HARNESS AND COOLANT TEMP SENSOR HARNESS AGAIN. WIRE REPAIR COMPLETED FOR BOTH DAMAGED HARNESSES.
SERVICE: ADDED LINEDESCRIPTION: ADDED LINE ~|~C/S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN THINKS RAT CHEWED WIRES AGAIN AND HAS A STRANGE SOUND IN ENGINE ~|~ ~|~66857 DTC P0302 CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE. CHECKED SPARK PLUGS. MOVED #2 SPARK PLUG TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND DTC RE-LOCATED TO THAT CYLINDER. RECOMMEND REPLACING ALL SPARK PLUGS.

If the dealership insulated the wires correctly and the carpet (and padding) looks perfect, then I don't see why not. Depends on the price they're selling it for. What's the asking price?

Would this car be worth $17,000 to you? Not for me but your mileage may vary. I paid (about 18 months ago) $33 K but I got 2015 RX 350 with just 9300 miles.

17k for a car with 70,000 miles is too much. I've seen one with similar miles for 15-16k on my local Craigslist. Remember, the dealership makes more money selling used cars than new cars (believe it or not). Try looking at your local Craigslist first before jumping to the dealership.
I got lucky and bought mine with 36,000 miles from a friend for 17k.

Find out if the transmission fluid has been changed, same with brake fluid, coolant, and if AWD, the differential and transfer case fluids. If not yet done, all should be changed now. Some dealers will not do transmission fluid change or exchange as it is called. You can also get it done at a Toyota dealer as they use the same engine and transmission. Many get service done at Toyota dealers.
Lexus does not use run flat tires on this vehicle, it has a spare in the rear under the floor. However you may not like the ride of those tires and want to consider replacing them sooner rather than later with something that rides smoother such as Michelin. See the tire thread sticky at the top of the main page.

It's a 2012.
Just follow the maintenance schedule on the owner's manual.
Is there any other maintenance i must do in the near future considering it has 70000 miles already. Also how to find out if this particular model has run flat or non run flat tires? I hate run flat tires and have very bad experience with them in my bmw. This lexus has the bridgestone dueller

Be sure to ask the Craig's list seller what time of day is best to stop back in for a carwash and cup of coffee...

17k for a 2010 RX w/ 70k is pretty good in my honest opinion. But that is the first model year of the generation which poses the most problems. Maybe look for a 2011, 2012? You will find them priced similarly. 2010-2011 RXs require premium too.. 2012s do not. This is important because most 2010-2011 RX owners put regular when premium is required. And despite what anyone says regular in a premium car can cause problems in the future. With a 2012 you wouldn't have that problem.
IDK if it's too late - but make sure it has all the options you want. HID headlights? 18 inch allow wheels? AWD? Navigation? It's 2019 why do you have a car without at least HID headlights??
Also, please keep in mind that rats or mice can **** up a car bad. They live in the car and are extremely hard to remove - can kill a car electrically and you will have problems for YEARS. Personally would stay away from that. Keep using that Lexus VIN maintenance website though - very very useful.

Around here that is a solid price if it's loaded and don't let a good vehicle go if you really like it since nice examples here in Colorado with 100k miles go for $15k with a few steals here and there.

We just purchased a 2010 with 90k miles for $13,500 OTD from a Lexus dealer. All maintenance had been performed like clockwork at the dealer, one owner, no damage. So, I'd maybe try to negotiate them down a little considering age of vehicle and rodent issue. But if the vehicle was otherwise well-maintained, that price doesn't seem to be out of line.
