Default Missing rear LEXUS badges??

You know how when you buy a vehicle you all of a sudden notice them all on the road and one thing I've been noticing with a little more frequency on the RX (and on used ones on the net) is that many are missing the LEXUS badge on the rear so are these commonly stolen?? Fall off???

I guess de-badging is a millennial thing.
I always removed dealer advertising but if I pay for a Lexus don't want it mistaken for a KIA.

Lexus stopped putting the rear badge on for model year 2011, deciding that the round L badge was sufficient recognition. Kind of how Mercedes Benz doesn’t spell their name out on the back. Just the three pointed star.

Wasn't 2010 the last model year that the RX came with "LEXUS" on the left side of the hatch?

Edit: Obviously, JDR76 beat me to it while I was looking at brochures to verify that 2010 was the last model year.

Just making sure you realize that your 2015 RX does not say "LEXUS" on the back

JDR and Jim are correct. 2011 and newer Lexus vehicles do not have the LEXUS script on the back.

There was a time when even Mercedes-Benz didn't have name recognition. Here is a photo of a mid-1950's 300SL with "Mercedes-Benz" spelled out on its sides. Back then, Mercedes vehicles were sold through Studebaker dealers.

I thought young kids were stealing the emblem to hang around their necks since I heard it was a thing since Lexus gets thrown around in rap music a bit.
I knew it wasn't a debadging thing since the right had the RX350 and they usually were driven by gen xers and baby boomers.

Ok,so after '10 the lexus badge was gone? Ok.

I have thought about painting the badges gloss black and tone down the chrome on the car.

....
I knew the 'word' wasn't there, thought he was talking about the 'L' with the circle.

I have a Dodge Ram and some owners completely de-badge the truck.
I think that is ridiculous. It is so much easier to just drive around with a bag over your head.

Some people prefer the cleaner look without the badging. Some people have an aversion to logos and brands in general.

I left my 1985 Jeep Cherokee debadged after it was damaged in an accident and had to be completely repainted. It was easier to keep clean without having to carefully scrub all around the various logos and badges. I kept all the badges and gave them to the guy who bought that vehicle from me a couple of years later. He liked the debadged look and opted not to install them..

I think the Lexus brand has matured enough to NOT requiring the word "Lexus" on its vehicles.

I want to remove the "RX350" from the back, but I need to find a sure way not to damage the paint.
I removed the dealer stickers and license plate frame the day I got the car.
I like the minimalist look.

Heat gun and some dental floss, follow with a bit of Goo-Gone.

The L emblem on the back appears to be recessed, also I suspect there are alignment holes in the sheetmetal underneath.
Does anyone know the diameter of the KIA emblem?
I'm trying to lower my property taxes.
