This is my wife's car. She carries the 30oz RTIC and the tapered bottom barely fits within one of the main cupholders (just north of the console). We purchased this recently and it just didn't work well either.

Has anyone been able to find a rather well designed cupholder adapter so that fits nice and snug within the OEM cupholder receptacle and would hold one of these RTIC 30 oz cups?

Have you tried removing the center piece? On my 2010 it lifts right out. My wife removes it and then the cupholder fits her large insulated drink container. She stashes the center piece in the door pocket.

Maybe a different mug rather than adapter? I have a Yeti 30oz Rambler and it seems to fit fine.
